From the official tournament ball and mascot items to national team jerseys, the merchandise market for this tournament — spanning three countries — is the largest in World Cup history. Here's your guide to buying authentic gear and avoiding counterfeits.

Canada National Team Gear
Canada Soccer's official jerseys are made by Adidas and available through canadasoccer.com and Adidas Canada. With Canada appearing in the World Cup for only the second time, demand for the national team jersey is at an all-time high. The home (red) and away jerseys typically sell out quickly — order as early as possible.
Tournament-Exclusive Items Worth Buying
- Official match ball (Adidas) — limited quantities available per tournament
- Host city edition scarves — each host city gets exclusive designs
- World Cup 2026 mascot plush — the official mascot will be featured on dozens of items
- Match programmes — available at stadiums on match days, become valuable collectibles
- Player-specific items — signed merchandise from stars like Alphonso Davies has high collector value
- FIFA World Cup 2026 pin sets — traditional collector items at every World Cup
- Official tournament poster prints — FIFA releases limited edition prints for each tournament
Shopping in Each Host Country
Canada
In addition to Sport Chek, Canadian specialty football stores like Pro Soccer (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton) carry the broadest range of international team jerseys. For unique Canadian fan gear, local Etsy sellers and Canadian streetwear brands are producing high-quality World Cup items.
United States
Dick's Sporting Goods, Soccer.com, and MLS team stores in host cities carry official World Cup merchandise. Nike stores carry all Nike-sponsored national team gear (Brazil, France, Portugal, England, etc.). Adidas stores carry their sponsored teams (Germany, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, etc.).
Mexico
Mexico is a paradise for World Cup merchandise shopping. The official Mexican national team jersey (El Tri, made by Adidas) is everywhere and extremely affordable compared to Canadian prices. Mercado shops in all three host cities sell handcrafted football-themed items — perfect for unique souvenirs. The Azteca stadium shop is one of the most famous in the world.
How to Spot Counterfeit World Cup Merchandise
Counterfeit World Cup merchandise is a multi-million dollar industry that thrives around major tournaments. Here's how to protect yourself:
- Price: Authentic jerseys cost CAD $70–180. Anything under CAD $40 is almost certainly fake
- Holographic sticker: Official FIFA licensed merchandise has a holographic authentication sticker
- Stitching quality: Authentic jerseys have clean, even stitching. Fakes are often loose or uneven
- Tags: Check the washing/care label — authentic items have specific brand labels with country of manufacture
- Seller location: Avoid buying from unlicensed street vendors around stadiums — their merchandise is almost always counterfeit
- Online: Only buy from FIFA Store, official brand websites, Sport Chek, or verified retailers
